Official trailer
This is the official trailer for the Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The purpose of the trailer is to draw the viewer and make
them want to go see the film in cinemas. At the beginning of the trailer there
is a close up shot of the Lionsgate logo to identify readers that this is the
main distribution company for the film. The non diegetic dialogue ‘Ladies and Gentleman’ introduces the audience into
the trailer and makes them feel apart of the trailer themselves. A man presents
the main characters as he announces the lead actors ‘Katniss and Peter’. This
helps set the scene and notifies viewers who are unsure on the context of the
film who the main stars of the film are. The trailer also includes scenes of
action and drama to help create a suspense atmosphere, reinforcing the purpose
of the film – to encourage readers to go watch the film in cinemas.

Case Study Presentations
This is a video of my two presentations from both case
studies – ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ and ‘About Time’ produced by Working
Title Films. After looking back at the video of myself I believe I could
improve by engaging more with the audience. For example, during the whole clip
I hardly interacted with the audience and didn’t give enough eye contact. I
believe this is an important element of any presentation as it is important to
include the audience and make them feel part of the presentation. I believe I
could also improve by taking my time and talking at a normal pace as I believe
during this presentation I spoke too fast. I will take these factors in to consideration
when I next present to the class.

Case Study: The Hunger Games Catching Fire
This is an image of the official Lions Gate website. As you can see, the majority of the website is taken up by the image of the film Ender's Game - this encourages the reader to go and see the film and makes the reader aware of the films that are produced by Lions Gate. The text 'In Theatres Now' informs the reader that the film is now on show in screen around cinemas. The tool bar at the top of the page presents the different media - movies, tv and channels. This conveys Lions Gate to be a wide variety entertainment group .
